Clinical Depression Men. Obesity vs. depression ?

Q.The problem with your scenario is that fat men get no different treatment from the public at large. To argue otherwise is dishonest. Children don't discriminate as to who they call fat, for example. For another example, fat men certainly have no line of women outside their front door waiting to date them. Unless of course, the fat man happens to be exceedingly wealthy. So why do you see this as solely a problem of women?

A.Why does this only apply to women? The man with a few extra pounds just lowers his belt down a couple of inches and orders a lite beer the next time he goes to the bar. The size five woman considers herself obese if she slides up to a size six! Certainly obese men face some descrimination, but I don't think the magnitude is as great. How many beautiful, thin women do you know who walked down the aisle with an overweight man? Ever tried to find a super-sized wedding gown? Obese women aren't the only ones who face discrimination. Feminists discriminate against thin women. Every time there's an actress or model who's slimmer than average, the press start howling about anorexia and how they're setting a bad example for young girls. Yes folks, feminists have now invented Politically Correct Bodies, and if you haven't got one, watch out! Many vital, healthy, attractive, big women are tired of being assumed to be psychotic, frigid, unhealthy, and/or asexual, because of their size. If you think that pointing this out is disrespecting anyone, then you have missed the point entirely. Feminists often use the term anorexic as an adjective, thus suggesting the thin person has the disease called anorexia. The disease is very rare and scarcely registers on any stats scale. Moreoever, the largest group who genuinely have the REAL disease are seniors, women AND men. But no one talks about this group. The complainers (interestingly) are endlessly interested in slender models--is there an unconscious lesbian yearning at work here.? In any case, young girls etc. are a thousand times more likely to get cancer than anorexia, which is extremely rare, so researchers get angry when they hear the term anorexic used carelessly. They say it would make sense to call them cancerous (or virtually anything else) if they feel the need to name call at all. As for causes, they are still not known. Blaming the fashion industry, eating habits etc. is a crock as the "wasting" disease occurs in literature of centuries past before there even WAS a fashion industry or models, etc. Besides, if the fashion media had the influence feminists like to think it has, thinness, etc. would be a major healthproblem in society. BUt it isn`t. OBESITY is--and it`s a growing problem, resulting increased heart diseases etc. which HAVE been linked to being overweight. However, it was politically incorrect to draw attention to the overweight problem, so plump people waddled from buffet to buffet till they dropped dead of heart attacks. The anorexia groupies couldn`t have cared less, especially if the victims were elderly. They don`t want to fuck the seniors. They do want to fuck the skinny young models.
