Please test a technique against mild depression ?

Q.we are looking for people who want to test a simple mental technique that has shown to be very effective against *stress*, *anxiety*, *nervousness*, *attention deficit*, mild *depression*, and other disorders. It also increases intelligence, memory, and makes the mind clearer. This technique has just tested by us in Italy, with good results. It is called "Natural Anti-stress Technique" and it must be practised around 30 minutes every day. However, during the first 5 days it needs more time (almost 1 hour/day).

A.Logical flaw here: making the alleged technique public like this, means that it will be totally impossible to charge for it, ever, whether it works or not - so I strongly suspect that the real agenda here is nothing whatever to do with health or treatment. As it isn't clearly stated, I can only assume that the actual motive for this message is in some way malicious. Perhaps to test a new 'virus' or 'worm'? No, but I do have a good imagination. I am also sceptical about anything that tries to advertise in usenet, and very cynical about scientific or medical 'trials' that are not being carried out under the auspicies of a university or other recognised body. Anyone who's been using the internet for more than a few weeks has probably experienced at least one 'nasty' from a web-site or download. There are some very malicious people 'out there', and there are some seriously ill people 'in here', who are sometimes very vulnerable to suggestions of 'new treatments' or 'free help'. Has your treatment been reported in, say, 'The Lancet' or one of the Psychiatry or Psychology journals? a lot of research was made about this technique and several articles were published on important scientific journals such as International Journal of Neuroscience, Psychosomatic Medicine, Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, Journal of Clinical Psychology, and many other ones. Paradoxically, Benson never learned to practise this technique! [...] Benson created his own relaxation technique, that is described in his book The relaxation response (HarperCollins), a best-seller that sold more than 4 millions of copies [...]! Benson claims that his technique achieves the same results as this one, but this is not true, as shown by further research. The technique that is taught in this Course is the original one, that means the very effective one! It is 3 to 4 times more effective than Benson’s relaxation response technique and other anti-stress techniques that have been researched, including autogenic training, self-hypnosis, audio brainwave techniques, yoga meditation techniques. The striking effectiveness of the Natural Anti-stress Technique, compared with other techniques, has been shown by 2 meta-analysis, that confronted more than 100 independent scientific works (Journal of Clinical Psychology, 45; and Journal of Social Behavior and Personality, 6). Listen maybe ur intentions are good, but whiskers is right. The way you advertise such stuff is suspicious. People here including myself would not respond favourably. Our loss maybe, but if you really are experts in human psychology you would know why we are wary. Sarcasm won't help you here, on the contrary. Again I repeat that ur intentions may be decent but the way to advertise... u gotta establish better trust. My opinion anyway.
