forming local online depression support groups in U.S. locales ?

Q.thats kind of scary,10 miles? maby i'm paranoid but i'm thinking about anyone who might be under 18,do you know who is talking to who or what might be lurking in the shadows? to late now,if you ever post something like this again, maby leave out the 10 miles part.?

A.We run a free online community service, http://www.Local2Me.com, that connects people together locally on the net. It lets each user choose their group of people to connect with based on distance from them and age range, e.g., "people who live within 10 miles of me." Community members then trade messages within their personalized groups via group email or web message boards. We're looking for people who would like to be involved in building a potential new online community for depression support, to connect people in local areas around the U.S. The unique thing about Local2Me is that lets each user select their community by distance, age range, etc. This would allow people with forms of depression to exchange local doctor recommendations, share tips & resources, form local groups, etc. Our focus to date has mostly been on connecting people in neighborhoods. Within the "Neighbors Local2Me" community, residents share recommendations on restaurants, schools, contractors, doctors, and get connected to their local communities. The service is available throughout the U.S. and was profiled recently as an innovative web site by PBS TV's NetCafe show.
