OCD AND MANIC DEPRESSION

Q.Anyone know if people with OCD often suffer from manic depression?

A.On another note... Has anyone been mistaken for a nasty drunk when they were just having a really bad anxiety attack? I ask because an OCD afflicted person in my life does sound like an intoxicated person while in the throws of an anxiety attack. I am not talking about slurring of words or anything like that, just anger and yelling about nothing really serious (or nothing of any consequence at all). I have not been diagnosed with manic depression. But I can get awfully depressed, sometimes I just get depressed for no reason and sometimes because of OCD. But I dont think I'm a MD, though. No, but sometimes my brain has so many nasty thoughts going through that it jams up, I guess I can be mistaken for somebody who is severly disturbed at times... lol No correlation has been found as far as I'm aware, though when people become depressed they can often become obsessional, according to the books (I haven't observed this myself). Are you impatient because of the bad state things are in at the moment, or is it more of a personality trait (as it is with me)? I get awfully depressed too at times. I think having depression with ocd is very common. When my ocd started it mainfested itself in a major depressive episode - mainly due to the intense feelings of guilt I was having at the time. But sometimes major depression can also lead to oc symptoms..so it's a two way thing.
