quiz number 2 - bipolar music

Q.i liked squiggles' idea of a quiz... and i wondered what music you listen to when manic or depressed?... when im depressed its gotta be radiohead: "how to disappear completely"

A.When I'm depressed, it takes to much energy to find a cd. And if I put some music on, I won't hear it... :((((( When I'm manic, I forget to play music. Too busy. When I'm hyper, I sometimes play the same CD all the time, which is Iggy Pop this week, and can be something else next week... When I finally realize this music is not cooling me down, I play Chopin or Satie. Pre Manic.. Bach and/or Mozart Pre Down... Beethoven Settled... Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and Holst's The Planets. Anne-Sophie Mutter conducting and soloing the first and was it Tomita on the second, lost that one eons ago. Pre Drunk... Janis Joplin and The Doors and Jimi Hendrix as a reminder where this is going to lead if it keeps going. Drunk... Duh.... What's music? Post Drunk... Gatorade and aspirin and lots of pillows to mask out the sound of any sort except then I'm stuck with the ocean in my head. Pre Composing ElectroAcoustic work... OHM collection of a century in electronic music history. Then it's either "They already did that." or I play piano instead, in F#m only so far since I don't really know what I'm doing. ;-) Wishing I had a girlfriend at times. Sade Had a girlfriend a few times. My old stuff whatever which one of them used to like when. When I am depressed, I rarely listen to anything. I prefer quiet. When I am manic, I listen to the wildest loudest music possible (and sing along) - The Offspring, Stone Temple Pilots, Metallica (perhaps all strange picks for a 43 year old female, but I have "insiders" (love that term) that are under 10 and under 20, so maybe that explains it.
